On this wine shelf, we tried to depict the Rhine River and the classic landscape surrounding it. Steep riverbanks with vineyards growing on them, a basket filled with freshly harvested grapes, the Rhine itself, a traditional half-timbered house, lush vegetation, and a dog resting on the shore of a wooden pier. The dog is not a mandatory element, but we felt it certainly wouldn’t be out of place. 🙂

The material of the wine shelf is pine. It is not the most expensive type of wood, but it has its own charm, texture, and light, warm tones. We do not use glue in our work, so the boards are made from solid wood cut from a single log. One of the advantages of this approach is the ability to see a continuous grain pattern along the longitudinal cut of the board – essentially a finished composition straight from nature’s own workshop.
